Stepladder and Ladder Safety
This module introduces the main risks while using stepladders and ladders at work. You will find out when it is appropriate to use a stepladder or ladder, the law that applies, who is eligible to use a stepladder or ladder, and the pre-use checks to carry out.

Working at Height
The aim of this course is make you aware of the main safety issues concerning working at height. You’ll explore the common hazards associated with working at height, and you will find out why it’s vital to conduct a risk assessment prior to carrying out any work at height. You’ll also work through some typical case studies and you’ll be asked to decide the safest course of action to take at each stage of the task.

• Appreciate the key requirements of the Work at Height Regulations (WAHR) 2005.
• Carry out the relevant pre-use checks to promote safety
• Explain when it is appropriate to use a stepladder or ladder
• Identify the main hazards when using stepladders and ladders.
• State who is eligible to use a stepladder or ladder.
• Take appropriate action to minimise the risks.

Upon a successful pass, you will be issued with a Printable Certificate of Competence valid for 1 Year.
