This course is for those who have or are about to enter the construction and civil engineering industry as a member of the workforce to help them understand the potential hazards that they face at work on site.
Course Summary
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness (Site Safety Plus) course is for delegates who are in or about to enter into the construction or engineering industry. It provides an awareness to these delegates on the health and safety aspects of their role within the working environment.
The CITB Health and Safety Awareness (Site Safety Plus) course consists of the following outcomes followed by a multiple choice test:
- Individual responsibilities for own safety and the safety of others
- Typical construction hazards and these are controlled
- Legal requirements and liabilities
- Working at Height
- Manual Handling
- Fire Prevention
- Work Equipment
- Occupational Health
- How everyone can achieve better practical standards of safety on site
Delegates will be continuously assessed through the course and be required to sit a mutiple choice test. Upon successful completion of the CITB Health and Safety Awareness (Site Safety Plus) course and test you will be credited with a CITB certificate.

Beside the fact that our staff and the environment of the school will make you feel happy and safe, CCTV is operating in most of the school’s areas.
I’m getting on a bit, is it like going back to school and will I feel out of place?
Not at all. A large percentage of our learners are mature students simply keeping up to date with current standards. Everybody is made to feel welcome in the centre.
