Designed for those who already hold a valid safety passport that requires renewing. This must be done in the 6 months leading up to the expiry date of their Safety Passport. If your passport has expired, you must attend the 2 day SPA Safety Passport.
Designed as a refresher course for contractors working on petrol station forecourts who have an existing Safety Passport nearing expiry.
Working on petrol filling stations presents some special issues, not least the safety of the public.
The course consists of:
- Start of day preparation.
- Drive, arrive, take 5, stay alive
- Booking in
- Communication (two way)
- Task and site hazards.
- Doing the job safely.
- Environment and waste.
- Completing the correct paperwork.
- Task execution (group exercise – 360 hazard spotting).
- Completion and hand back.
Candidates successfully completing the course will receive an SPA Safety Passport photo ID card which is valid for three years.
Delegates must bring their existing SPA / UKPIA Safety Passport card to the course. A passport sized photo is not required for the refresher course.

Can you cater for students with special needs?
Yes, but as with all special requirements that differ from the norm, please make us aware of your requirements and we will do our best to provide the appropriate support.
Are there any car parking spaces available?
Yes, there are a lot of FREE car parking space available in the area.
What accommodation is available?
There are a variety of hotels and B&B’s in the area. There is a list available to assist you with booking your stay.
Am I going to feel safe during my course participation?
Beside the fact that our staff and the environment of the school will make you feel happy and safe, CCTV is operating in most of the school’s areas.
I’m getting on a bit, is it like going back to school and will I feel out of place?
Not at all. A large percentage of our learners are mature students simply keeping up to date with current standards. Everybody is made to feel welcome in the centre.
