Course Summary
The Table Saw course is designed to give an understanding to delegates who are required to use table saw for the preparation of timber to various lengths.
The Table Saw course content is as follows:
- Health and Safety at Work Act
- Management of Health and Safety at Work 1999 (as amended)
- Provision and use of work equipment regulations
- Electricity at work regulations
- Checking of equipment
- Duties of employer and employees
- Organising the work
- Hazards and control measures when using table saws
- PPE
- Dust extracting and protecting the enviornment
Individual and group assessments. Theory presentations and continual assessment throughout the program. Upon successful completion delegates will received a Training Plus Certificate of Competence.
Candidates are required to bring the following PPE to the course:
- Safety gloves
- Eye protection
- Ear protection
- Steel toes capped boots
No formal qualifications or experience is necessary.
