Course Summary
Train the Trainer - Telehandler course is for persons who wish to train others to drive Forklift trucks. Prior to training, candidates should idealy have a minimum of 6 months industrial experience of operating all types of lift trucks and have passed the applicable CITB to operator standard.
The Train the Trainer – Telehander course consists of:
- Operating a lift truck to the standard required by the CTIB for lift truck instructors
- Structuring training material into a logical sequence for teaching knowledge and skills
- Adopting an effective style for treaching skills appropriate to the type truck involved
- Adopting an objective and critical approach towards the effectiveness of the instruction they present and an appropriate method of assessment of trainees’ progress
- Setting up and testing of trainees’ basic operating skills in accordance with CITB requriements.
On successful completion of this theorectical and practical training course trainees should be able to operate the machine safely and skilfully and be able to instruct and deliver course content in an Instructor/Examiner standard. Successful candidates will also be certified and their employers will receive a written assessment and a certificate of attendance.

Beside the fact that our staff and the environment of the school will make you feel happy and safe, CCTV is operating in most of the school’s areas.
I’m getting on a bit, is it like going back to school and will I feel out of place?
Not at all. A large percentage of our learners are mature students simply keeping up to date with current standards. Everybody is made to feel welcome in the centre.
