This course is for anyone who requires training in operating a 360 Excavator.
Course Summary
The aim of the 360 Excavator Above 10 tonne course is to provide candidates with the basic knowledge and practical skills involved in operating a 360 Excavator to the CPCS (Construction Plant Competence Scheme) standard. The course is delivered through a combination of classroom-based tutorials and practical training.
The 360 Excavator course consists of:
- Operate the exacavator 360 safely and productively
- Fit and operate ancillary equipment
- Site the machine safely and efficiently
- Carry out minor adjustments and routine servicing procedures
- Understand the capabilities, purposes and limitations of each machine
- Follow all necessary safety precautions
- Interpret the information provided by level pegs and profiles
- Be aware of the necessary routine adjustments and service procedures, and carry them out
- Work to levels with the aid of laser equipment.
When candidates successfully complete the course they will be awarded with a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card (on successful completion of the CPCS Technical Tests) and a CITB National Construction College Certificate.

You must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) test no more than two years before attending this course.

There are a variety of hotels and B & B’s in the area. There is a list available to assist you with booking your stay.
Am I going to feel safe during my course participation?
Beside the fact that our staff and the environment of the school will make you feel happy and safe, CCTV is operating in most of the school’s areas.
I’m getting on a bit, is it like going back to school and will I feel out of place?
Not at all. A large percentage of our learners are mature students simply keeping up to date with current standards. Everybody is made to feel welcome in the centre.
