Course Summary

The 360 Slew Telehandler course will provide the delegate with the foundation training and assessment in operating and maintaining telescopic handlers. It will also provide the knowledge and practical skills to operate the Forklift safely.

The 360 Slew Telehandler course consists of both theory and practical assessment as detailed below:-

  •     Introduction to the construction industry
  •     Current relevant legislation
  •     Introduction to machines
  •     Pre-shift inspections
  •     Controls and instruments
  •     Components and main types of lift trucks
  •     Re-fuelling systems
  •     Coolant, fuel and lubrication systems
  •     Emergency controls
  •     Manoeuvring over uneven ground
  •     Operators safe code
  •     Handling loaded/unloaded pallets and difficult shaped loads
  •     Loading and unloading flat bed lorries and at various heights

The assessment will involve both theory and practical assessment tests. Upon successful completion of these, the delegate will be awared a CPCS Red Trained Operator Card.

Who is it for?

This course is suitable for potential and existing operators who have received no formal instruction and those wishing to refresh their skills.

Delegates are required to have completed and passed the CPCS Health & Safety Touch Screen Test (valid within 24 months).
