Course Summary

The CITB Quick Hitch Device course is designed to give delegates an understanding of the various classifications of quick hitch devices and to recognise the risks associated with them.

The assessment will involve both theory and practical assessment tests. Upon successful completion of these the delegate will be awarded a National Construction College Certificate.

This course is suitable for all operators of excavators/backhoe/JCB’s (or machine banksman) who attach quick hitch devices.

No formal experience is necessary, however, delegates must have passed a CITB Health, Safety and Environmental test within the last two years.

Am I going to feel safe during my course participation?

Beside the fact that our staff and the environment of the school will make you feel happy and safe, CCTV is operating in most of the school’s areas.

I’m getting on a bit, is it like going back to school and will I feel out of place?

Not at all. A large percentage of our learners are mature students simply keeping up to date with current standards. Everybody is made to feel welcome in the centre.
